Lando Norris will be joined with new teammate Daniel Ricciardo, who has moved from Renault to join McLaren over the winter, to reveal the MCL35M.

While teams are being forced to carry over their chassis from 2020 into the new campaign as part of a raft of cost-saving measures implemented in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, McLaren has had to make more changes than other teams due to its switch from Renault to Mercedes power.

A complete redesign of McLaren’s chassis was required in order to install Mercedes’ new power unit, which marks the revival of the former successful partnership that previously spanned two decades between 1995 and 2014.

McLaren is aiming to consolidate its position at the top of F1’s midfield pecking order and further close the gap to leading teams Mercedes and Red Bull in 2021, having secured third place in the constructors’ championship last season.

Following McLaren’s launch, AlphaTauri will be the next team to unveil its 2021 car - the AT02 - later this week on Friday 19th February.
