Spanish MotoGP, Jerez - Warm-up Results

Marquez leads warm-up at the Spanish MotoGP despite an incident-packed session, which began when he toppled over after a technical problem, then saved a big slide before getting into his stride.

Vinales and Morbidelli provided further optimism for Yamaha by being at the sharp end for much of warm-up - although Rossi was only 15th - with Suzuki rookie Mir posting a late third.

Quartararo will start from a debut pole position in this afternoon's race ahead of Petronas Yamaha SRT team-mate Morbidelli and Repsol Honda's Marquez.

Large parts of the Jerez circuit have been resurfaced since the November test, with Michelin bringing four different front and rear tyre options as a result.

Smith and Bradl are making wild-card appearances this weekend but Andrea Iannone has been declared unfit to race after injuring his foot in a Saturday fall.
