Quartararo leads Friday practice for the Catalunya MotoGP - despite recent arm pump surgery - after a frantic end to Free Practice 2 in Barcelona.
Marquez, fastest in FP1, was the only rider not to improve in FP2, managing only 17th place after avoiding a new rear tyre. The world champion is ninth on combined times.
The top 19 riders were within one-second!
