Racing Team Nederland will make its full WEC debut in 2018 in the LMP2 class after a one-off appearance at Le Mans last year, with Giedo van der Garde and Jan Lammers set to join team owner Frits van Eerd in the #29 Dallara P217 for the opening two rounds of the season.
Lammers will then step back from the seat to make way for de Vries for the third round of the 13-month 'super season' at Silverstone on August 19, with the youngster taking over for the remainder of the campaign.
De Vries will not feature in the pre-season WEC 'Prologue' test at Paul Ricard due to a clash with his F2 commitments in Bahrain.
The new WEC season kicks off on May 5 at Spa.
