Bargwanna snares enduro seat.
Having lost his full-time ride in the V8 Supercar Championship after WPS Racing announced its withdrawal from the series shortly before the start of the campaign, Jason Bargwanna is to return later in the year after inking a deal to join Rod Nash Racing for the endurance events at Phillip Island and Bathurst.
Bargwanna, who won at Bathurst back in 2000, will line up alongside Tony D'Alberto in the #55 Holden Commodore for the two big events and team boss Rod Nash admitted that signing an experienced second driver for the enduros had been high on the wish list.

"Jason is the perfect fit for our team," he said. "We have a strong team this year with Tony and securing a co-driver like Jason will enhance our chances of success in the biggest races of the year.
"Jason is not only the same height as Tony but he will bring a wealth of experience to the team. Competing in his 14th Bathurst 1000 this year, the team could not have asked for a more experienced and conditioned campaigner.
"We are really looking forward to working with him this year."
Bargwanna will be back behind the wheel of a Holden for the first time since he competed for Gary Rogers Motorsport back in 2002, and he admitted that it was an easy choice to make when the deal was offered.
"It is a sharp operation, great team of people, and excellent equipment," he said. "Top six at Bathurst last year and the right attitude to go even better in 2008.
"It was a very clear and easy choice for me. I am highly motivated to get back to being a front runner and this could just be the right combination required."
