Ben Bostrom misses out as Honda shun Laguna.
Former World Superbike star Ben Bostrom will not have the opportunity to take on his former rivals as a wild-card at Laguna Seca next weekend, after the provisional entry list released today confirmed that Honda will not be entering any of their AMA stars.
Bostrom, a former double Laguna race winner, is said to be unhappy at Honda's decision to break with recent tradition and concentrate solely on the AMA series, which also means that Bostrom's colleagues Miguel DuHamel and Kurtis Roberts will be absent from the July 13 races.

However, the American fans will still have one Bostrom to support at the Monterrey circuit in the form of Ben's younger brother Eric - current leader of the AMA series no less - who will take on the likes of Ducati Fila riders Neil Hodgson and Ruben Xaus on his 750cc Kawasaki.
Completing the AMA wild-card quartet are Yoshimura Suzuki team-mates Mat Mladin and Aaron Yates together with newly announced Ducati Austin rider Giovanni Bussei.
Although Honda will be missing, the addition of one Kawasaki and two more Suzukis in the hands of AMA frontrunners Bostrom, Mladin and Yates looks likely to provide one of the most exciting WSBK events of the year - with Bostrom due to debut some 'radical' new leathers especially for the occasion.
Also on the Laguna provisional entry list is Foggy Petronas rider James Haydon, indicating that Carl Fogarty's team expect the injured Englishman is expected to be fit after missing Silverstone and Misano with a neck injury.
