Q&A: James Webb.

Question:
Are you looking forward to Donington Park?

James Webb:
Very much so! I love the track and had some good results there in the past. I think I need to move on from Cadwell and get a good result. Donington's a lovely track and very flowing: if you get Redgate wrong it mucks you up for Craner and then the whole lap. I think with the set-up we've got we could have a good weekend this weekend. The team's working hard on both the Supersport and Superbike so I hope we have a good team result across the board.

Q:
What results are you looking for from last two rounds?

JW:
Podiums really. I know that's a big ask considering the competition and my comparative lack of experience, but you've got to aim for it, haven't you? I have to get results in these last two rounds: the team deserve it so much as they work so hard - not just out of the racetruck but back at base too. This is a big opportunity for me and I'm praying to get a ride with MSS Kawasaki next year too!
Q:
What have you learned working with the Kawasaki team?

JW:
The biggest thing is that I've learned how to work with people as I've not been in a big team before. I like to think I've learned to give better feedback to the crew, which is important. I learned so much at Cadwell and I want to continue that learning curve through to Brands and hopefully next year. I've also learned that my fitness level has to go up! In the R6 cup you have two, 20-minute sessions and a ten-minute warm-up and a race about half the length of the Supersport race. I realised pretty soon that if I want to go anywhere it's something I have to address. I want to be fittest in paddock, as you perform better and bounce better the fitter you are!

Q:
What's one of your biggest attributes?

JW:
I'm keen! Very keen! My brother Danny had some luck to get into GPs, even if this year has been tough for him. I'm hoping that things are picking up for me now too!

Q:
What's the ultimate aim for James Webb?

JW:
Eventually, I want to get into a world championship in some way. Maybe a couple of seasons in World Supersport and then World Superbike.
