Jordan: Every point feels more important
Andrew Jordan has his sights set on reducing the points gap to his championship leading team mate Colin Turkington as the British Touring Car Championship title battle heads to Scotland's Knockhill circuit.

Andrew Jordan has his sights set on reducing the points gap to his championship leading team mate Colin Turkington as the British Touring Car Championship title battle heads to Scotland's Knockhill circuit.
During what proved to be a trying weekend for the West Surrey Racing BMW outfit last time out at Thruxton, Jordan managed to close in slightly on his three-time champion team mate Turkington to 30-points with just nine-races to go.
The BMW pair have won five races apiece so far this season, but Jordan was forced to play catch-up earlier in the year after effectively missing three races following his Donington Park shunt.
Heading into the carrying 6 kilos less success ballast than Turkington, Jordan knows he must strike first in qualifying as he attempts to makes inroads on his BMW counterpart's championship lead.
“Knockhill is a circuit that I really enjoy and that suits my driving style. It’s tight and twisty and can be difficult to hook up a lap, especially when 29 other drivers are trying to do the same thing," said the BMW Pirtek Racing driver.
"We’ve seen already this year that the new BMW 3 Series is a step forwards from the old car and I’m hopeful the same will be true this weekend as the 1 Series went very well there in the past.
"It won’t be easy carrying 48kg ballast, but Colin’s even heavier so my focus will be on out-qualifying him and then trying to make further inroads on raceday. With only nine races left, every point feels even more important, but I’m confident about what we can achieve.”
