Button to make DTM debut at Hockenheim
2009 Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button will make his DTM debut at Hockenheim in October, driving the sole Honda car on the grid as part of the championship's crossover with Super GT.
Button will race for Team Kunimitsu in the final two races of the DTM season, driving a Honda NSX. Honda, Lexus and Nissan have all committed to entering one car to the Hockenheim round prior to the end-of-year Japanese race in November.
Button confirmed the news on Instagram, expressing his excitement at trying his hand at another new championship.

Following his retirement from F1 at the end of 2016, Button made a one-off return at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix before shifting his focus to Super GT, where he won the title alongside Naoki Yamamoto last year. The Briton also raced in the FIA World Endurance Championship with SMP Racing through 2018.
Button currently sits fifth in the Super GT standings with three rounds remaining this season.
