In photos: All the 2022 F1 cars on track in Barcelona
Formula 1 testing has begun with three days of running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The Spanish venue is a popular testing choice due to its varied corner type, with the circuit consisting of high-speed, medium-speed and low-speed corners.
F1 didn't test in Barcelona last year due to a shortened pre-season period, with testing only taking place in Bahrain.
Barcelona will host the first F1 2022 test (February 23-25), while the second test - which will be televised - will take place in Bahrain (March 10-12).
Teams use these tests to analyse and understand what works on their new machines but also what needs improving.
For this season, it's all change with entirely new technical regulations and the introduction of 18-inch tyres.
With new rules, there are differences up and down the field in how the cars look and the concepts various teams have gone for.
Here's how all the cars look in Barcelona:
Mercedes
Mercedes has reverted back to its traditional silvery livery this year with seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton alongside George Russell.
Red Bull
Red Bull's RB18 has caught the eye of many due to its aggressive sidepod design as Max Verstappen looks to defend his crown in 2022, partnering Sergio Perez again.
Ferrari
Ferrari has gone for a striking, darker red livery as it goes in search of its first drivers' championship since 2007, retaining its exciting driver pairing of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
McLaren
McLaren continues with its papaya-themed livery with the MCL36 driven by Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo in 2022.
Alpine
Alpine combines blue with pink - the colour of new title sponsor BWT. The French outfit will run a pink livery for the opening two grands prix of the season as Fernando Alonso hopes he can return to the top step of the podium for the first time since 2013.
AlphaTauri
AlphaTauri maintains its usual white and blue colour scheme for the upcoming campaign.
Aston Martin
Four-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel remains alongside Lance Stroll at Aston Martin, who has opted for a lighter 'racing green' colour scheme for this campaign.
Williams
Williams has opted for a darker blue livery for 2022 as it looks to continue its recent resurgence with Nicholas Latifi teaming up with Alex Albon.
Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo has opted to run an interim livery during pre-season testing before officially launching its new car on February 27. Robert Kubica will be in action during the test (pictured below) alongside new signings Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou.
Haas
After not developing its 2021 at all in a bid to focus on this year, Haas will be eyeing a return to the midfield with Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin.
