2024 F1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix - Qualifying - As it happened

A 1m16.013s, 0.181s ahead of Norris. Piastri is now flying out there.

An oversteer moment out of the final corner doesn't stop him from taking to the top on the softs. A 1m16.194s is now the benchmark.

A 1m16.463s for Leclerc on the medium tyre puts him top of the order.

Albon looked on course to take top spot but he ran wide at the final corner. 

We're in the early stages of qualifying but Ocon remains on top ahead of Magnussen, Sargeant and Gasly.

RB have been fined €5000 after a near-miss in FP3 between Ricciardo and Magnussen.

That's what Wolff said after FP3: "Still positive. It's not changing a lot for us, but we are a bit closer to the pack ahead. Our development direction is clear now. I think McLaren on a single lap and long run are a good chunk faster, but then we are quite close behind."

A 1-2 for McLaren in final practice at Imola 

A strong final sector from Norris puts him second, 0.3s down. 

Personal best from Norris in the first sector. 

Pretty much everyone is out on track except Alonso and Perez.

Perez clipped the barrier which sent him wide into the gravel, clattering the barrier at Variante Alta.

His car has now been cleared.

Perez has crashed now.

10 minutes on the clock: Sainz, Leclerc, Piastri, Verstappen, Norris, Albon, Perez, Tsunoda, Bottas and Sargeant.

Bottas breaks into the top 10 with a 1m16.695s to put him P9 in the order.

A tidy lap from the Williams driver to move up to sixth overall, 0.4s off.

Sainz, Leclerc, Piastri, Verstappen, Norris, Perez, Russell, Ricciardo, Hamilton and Sargeant. 

Piastri slots into third on the softs, just under 0.2s down on Sainz. 

Alonso's car has been cleared and FP3 is back underway at Imola.

Alonso lost control on the entry to second Rivazza, heading rearwards into the barrier.
