Red Bull has used one of its extreme sports stars to illustrate just how steep the infamous Eau Rouge section of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit really is.

When UK Formula One broadcaster BBC wanted to demonstrate just how sharp the incline climbing to the highest point of the Belgian layout is, Red Bull provided a local skateboarder prepared to tackle the section - in reverse, naturally.

When UK Formula One broadcaster BBC wanted to demonstrate just how sharp the incline climbing to the highest point of the Belgian layout is, Red Bull provided a local skateboarder prepared to tackle the section - in reverse, naturally.

As a result, 15-year old Axel Cruysberghs, crowned as European skateboard champion just two weeks ago despite sporting a broken wrist, found himself tearing down the slope towards the support pits, reaching 26mph in the process. In all, the youngster made two runs, attracting a crowd early on Friday evening.
