Ferrari driver Felipe Massa has said he is 'optimistic' he will be able to get a competitive drive in F1 next season, and he has added at the moment he has some 'good opportunities'.

Massa will bring the curtain down on his eight consecutive years with the Scuderia in Brazil in November, after Kimi Raikkonen was signed to replace him last month.

Massa has been linked with a number of teams since, principally Lotus, Sauber and Williams, although as yet he hasn't agreed anything for 2014.

"Not yet," Massa told reporters ahead of the 2013 F1 Korean Grand Prix, when asked if he can say anything about his future. "We talk with a few teams, y'know, and I don't think it's the right time to speak about that.

"I think it's the right time when you know where you are going. For the moment we are aware, I think, of some good opportunities. It's better to wait and say at the right time."

Pressed on how optimistic he is, he added: "I think I'm quite optimistic that I'm going to find a good direction, a good solution.

"I want to have a car that can give me some good possibilities to fight, not a car in which I would not have a chance to fight."

Meanwhile, looking to this weekend's race in Korea, Massa said he is feeling 'good' about the Ferrari F138.

"I feel comfortable inside the car and managed to score some points in the last races, which was important for me and for the team," he stated.

"I am just concentrating to carry on like that in these last races and want to try to get some more podiums. Qualifying is going well, so let's try to do everything we can to get some good results in these last six races and finish well with Ferrari."
