Mark Webber has confirmed that he will tackle Australia's longest motor race by adding the Bathurst 12 Hours to his 2015 schedule.

Although he will not hit Mount Panorama for over a year, the Australian, who completed his 215th and last F1 grand prix in Brazil on Sunday, revealed via Twitter that he would be teaming up with Australian actor Eric Bana - best known for roles in Hulk and Black Hawk Down - as well as Olympic rower James Tomkins, most likely at the wheel of a Porsche

Webber, who finished third in this year's F1 standings, will have completed his first season as a member of Porsche's WEC sportscar squad by then. He expects to link up with the German marque in January, to begin preparations for a return to endurance racing that will include the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
