Mercedes F1 director Toto Wolff will head to Hungary complete with an impressive looking cast on his right arm, following a heavy fall while cycling.

The Austrian and his team posted images on Twitter showing both the cast and the metalwork now holding his wrist together after the accident - which occured during a ride-out with Lewis Hamilton and other members of the team - left him with multiple injuries.

"A bit of a carambolage during yesterday's bike ride resulted in a fractured shoulder, collar bone, elbow and wrist...," a team source tweeted, "Half man, half machine: it's not just Arnie any more! The #Totonator has joined the club."

Wolff's wife, Williams development driver Susie, who was also taking part in the 100km ride, admitted that she is likely to have to play nurse for the next few weeks, which fortunately include a four-week summer break between grands prix.
