Kubica’s arrival at Alfa Romeo has coincided with fresh investment from a new sponsorship deal with his Polish backers Orlen, whose branding will feature prominently on the car and team kit.

Alfa Romeo is now the seventh F1 team to announce its launch plans ahead of the upcoming campaign, leaving just Red Bull, Haas and Williams as the three outfits yet to reveal details about their respective launches.

Last year, Alfa Romeo revealed its C38 livery in an online presentation, before rolling its actual car in the pitlane at the opening Barcelona test.

The team will be looking to move up the midfield pecking order this season and improve on its eighth-placed finish in the 2019 constructors’ championship.

The opening three-day test takes place at the Spanish Grand Prix venue between February 19-21, before the final three days of action conclude the winter test programme on February 26-28.
