Ticktum joins Arden Motorsport line-up for Abu Dhabi
Two-time Macau Grand Prix winner Dan Ticktum will make his Formula 2 championship debut with Arden Motorsport at the 2018 season finale in Abu Dhabi.
The Red Bull junior driver finished runner-up to Mick Schumacher in this year’s European Formula 3 championship but has maintained a strong end to the year with a second consecutive victory in Macau, in a race marred by the horrific crash by Sophia Flörsch, and will complete his year with an F2 debut with Arden.

Ticktum will take Maximilian Gunther’s spot at the British F2 team for the one-off outing as he looks to secure a potential full-time move to the Formula 1 support series in 2019.
The 19-year-old has also moved to the verge of gaining an FIA Superlicence thanks to his secon victory in Macau which would permit him to test and race in F1. Ticktum has 35 points, five off the required 40 points, but could take part in a winter series to gain the final points ahead of the 2019 season.
We are proud to announce the #MacauGP winner @DanTicktum will be joining our @FIA_F2 team for the last round of the season in Abu Dhabi
