GP2 Monaco 2013: Sprint race results
A great start off the second row in the sprint race by Stefano Coletti put him into second place behind polesitter Adrian Quaife-Hobbs going into Ste Devote, and after the local driver pulled off a nice pass on the Briton coming out of the tunnel on lap 3 it was Coletti's race all the way to the chequered flag, in a notably clean race that rather made amends for the crashtastic scenes the previous day at the start of the Friday feature race. (See full race report.)
Johnny Cecotto Jr. did not start the sprint race after being excluded as punishment for sparking Friday's melee, only the third time in the feeder series that a racer has been ;benched' for a race as a punishment. (See separate story.)
