Its OK George. Lando said he'll wave you past. Hmmm. #f1https://t.co/YifV4v2u71

I don’t know where the buzz was coming from. We brought some parts to the car but it wasn’t necessarily a big upgrade. But it was an improvement.
In the dry, we wouldn’t have been able to compete for top three.
In the rain, we had a chance.
In the rain it’s not as fast in the high-speed corners so there is less bouncing.
in the dry we carry more speed which means more bouncing. The bouncing is pretty bad for us.
Our race pace was better yesterday.
From fifth it will be tough but I’ll try to work my way forwards.
I’m a bit gutted because we have a great crowd here, I was pushing hard to get on the front row and fight for a pole.
We could have been in the top three, honestly. I was going for second, at least.
"I am disappointed but happy for Carlos.
"I needed to put it all together - but I didn't.
"The pace is there. If we have a clean race, everything should go well.
"It will be interesting who goes for one-stop or two-stop."
"It was quite tricky with the rain.
"Overall the car was working really well.
"To be on the front row is good for us.
"We have a good race car in the dry and the wet.
"It's not only about the first lap."
For the first time in F1, it's Carlos Sainz on pole.
Verstappen, Leclerc, Perez and Hamilton round out the top five.
Hamilton goes fourth; Russell only manages eighth.
Verstappen can't do it. Sainz is on pole right now.
Sainz takes provisional pole... what can Verstappen do?
Verstappen is back on provisional pole position with a 1m41.055s, 0.2s ahead of Leclerc.
Norris goes third.
Alonso goes third in the Alpine, a tenth shy of pole position.
Hamilton gets within a tenth of Verstappen at the front - up to P2.
Current order with three minutes to go: Verstappen, Hamilton, Russell, Norris, Perez, Leclerc, Alonso, Sainz, Zhou and Latifi.
Verstappen gets a clean lap together to go fastest with a 1m42.996s.
The times are tumbling.
Leclerc takes to the top with a 1m44.844s, 0.043s ahead of Verstappen. Alonso slots into third.
Alonso goes 3.2s clear of Zhou at the top of the timesheets as Sainz goes fastest in the middle sector.
Provisional pole for Zhou so far in Q3 ahead of Norris.
Verstappen spins on his first lap - he was on course to take pole position.
Everyone out on intermediates with the rain stopping. The track is still very wet though.
Credit to Zhou - back-to-back Q3 appearances in the wet now.
