FIRST LOOK: New GASGAS Aspar Racing Team unveil Moto3 colours
GASGAS Aspar Racing begins a new era in Moto3, as the team presents their 2021 colours ahead of making its debut.
From trial to enduro and rallying, to MXGP and US Supercorss, this will be the first time ever that GASGAS motorcycles compete in International road racing, let alone in Grand Prix racing.
The bikes will remain the same for GASGAS Aspar Racing as they were in 2020 when Albert Arenas became world champion, with both Sergio Garcia and rookie Izan Guevera competing on KTM RC 250 machines.
2021 will be Garcia's third season in the Moto3 class, with one win in his rookie season coming at Valencia and two other second place finishes as his best results to date.
For Guevera, the new campaign will be a step-up from the CIV Moto3 Junior World Championship last year which he won.
"To carry the GASGAS name into the Moto3™ World Championship is a very important moment, both for myself personally and for this team, said GasGas Aspar Team CEO - Jorge Martinez.
"As a proud Spanish team, to be the first to work with a brand with such strong Spanish roots, to take it into the highest level of international road racing, is very, very special.
"2021 is looking to be an extremely exciting season for us! Of course, we hope to continue the exceptional run of form we have enjoyed during the 2020 season and together with our two strong riders, Sergio Garcia and Izan Guevara, we are focused on immediately fighting for podiums and taking the GASGAS brand onto the world stage."
GASGAS motorcycles are part of the same company as KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles after Pierer Mobility, the parent company of both acquired GasGas in 2019.
