As it happened: Enea Bastianini secures first MotoGP pole in Austria

Enea Bastianini will start Sunday's Grand Prix from pole after securing his maiden MotoGP pole.

After failing to make the top ten during FP3, Aleix Espargaro battled through to claim P9, four place behind championship rival Fabio Quartararo.

Following the confirmation that Tech 3 KTM will become GASGAS Factory Racing in 2023, a move which also saw KTM announce the return of Pol Espargaro back to the Austrian manufacturer, MotoGP made an announcement of their own after FP3, confirming Sprint races will be added to every race weekend next season.

In means there will be over 40 MotoGP races in 2023.

Crash.net will bring you all the latest news and updates throughout the weekend.
