As it happened: Bagnaia wins first MotoGP Sprint of the year in Portimao

MARC MARQUEZ STUNS MOTOGP ONCE AGAIN!

Bagnaia smashes the lap record as he goes nearly three tenths clear of Miller. 

Miller has crashed but he remains on provisional pole.

Jorge Martin is the first rider to get within a tenth of Miller's time as he goes second. 

Bagnaia goes second behind Miller as Marini joins them on the provisional front row. 

Aleix Espargaro has gone down at turn 13 before returning to pit lane. 

Incredible from Miller as he sets a new lap record on his first, yes FIRST flying lap.

Bagnaia has just one bike available to him following his P3 crash.

What a lap by Oliveira as he goes back into second and will advance with Marc Marquez. 

Alex Marquez makes it a Marquez 1-2 after jumping up to P2, but Oliveira is on a flyer...

That's it with four minutes remaining for Marquez. The eight-time world champion feels as though he's done enough. 

It's a brilliant lap from Marquez who is currently three tenths fastest than Oliveira.

Oliveira splits the two factory Honda riders to go second, Marquez continues to lead the way in Q1.

Big moment for Alex Marquez at turn ten. The Gresini rider was on a lap good enough to go quickest but had to run wide.

Marc Marquez, Alex Rins and home favourite Miguel Oliveira are the big names taking part in Q1.

MotoGP Q1 is underway at Portimao.

That was a fast fall for Bagnaia, who like Bastianini, is unhurt from the crash. 

It was a front-end slide for Bastianini who immediately returned to his feet.
