FIRST LOOK: Johann Zarco's Castrol LCR Honda MotoGP colours
Johann Zarco’s 2024 MotoGP livery is revealed.
This is the first look at Johann Zarco’s official 2024 Castrol LCR Honda MotoGP livery.
The Frenchman is switching to Lucio Cecchinello’s team after spending four years at Ducati, the last three on factory machinery at Pramac.
After 19 podiums, Zarco finally broke his MotoGP victory drought at Phillip Island, on the way to a career best equalling fifth overall in the world championship.
The 33-year-old - who has previously raced for Tech3 Yamaha, Red Bull KTM, Avintia and then Pramac Ducati - contested three races for LCR Honda after his mid-season split from KTM in 2019.
He returns to takes over LCR’s Castrol bike, which was taken to a shock victory at COTA by Alex Rins last season.
Zarco has a two-year deal with HRC, meaning he is one of the few riders to have a contact already in place for 2025, alongside Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM).
Zarco was 16th fastest but within 1.3s of the top during the Sepang test. The final pre-season test takes place in Qatar on February 19-20.
"Honda has made a lot of changes and I'm ready to enjoy this season," said Zarco. "I want to have the chance to fight for the podium and with the new [2024] bike I feel it's possible. I also hope to put Honda inside the top ten in the world championship."
LCR team-mate Takaaki Nakagami will again ride in Idemitsu colours. The Japanese will unveil his 2024 livery later today.
