Schwantz to ride '93 Suzuki at Indy.
Kevin Schwantz will ride the Suzuki RGV500 on which he won the 1993 500cc World Championship for some demonstration laps on Sunday at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP.
Schwantz will ride the restored bike on the 2.621-mile road course at 2:15pm, 45 minutes before the start of the MotoGP race.
The Texan claimed 25 victories during his illustrious grand prix career, all with Suzuki. The only American rider with more 500cc/MotoGP race wins is Eddie Lawson, with 31.
The demonstration will mark the first time Schwantz has ridden the bike since 1995, the year he retired.

"We fired it up one weekend, I think, late in the year in '95," Schwantz said. "I'm looking forward to it. I've sat on it a couple of times. We've got some new Michelin tyres for it. I'm not going to try and throw down a qualifying lap, that's for sure, but I'm really looking forward to riding that thing here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
"Hearing that V4 two-stroke [engine] running around out here is going to be special."
Meanwhile, a Moto2 demonstration will take place on Saturday from 4:00-4:40pm.
Moto2, which uses 600cc four-stroke engines, will replace the 250cc World Championship from 2010.
