Rossi looks forward to 2010 preparations.

Arriving at the Valencia MotoGP season finale with a ninth world title already in his pocket, Valentino Rossi already has one eye on the post-race test.

The outing, on Tuesday and Wednesday, will be the first chance for Rossi to try an early version of next year's Yamaha.

"It will be an important test. I think we will try the first prototype for the new 2010 bike and it will be interesting to try it here at what is a difficult race track," said Rossi.

"The season will be over, but we will have to keep our concentration and motivation for the test, because the next test is not until February."

Rossi has only won twice at Valencia, in 2003 (Honda) and 2004 (Yamaha), but hopes he can end a three-race losing streak - his longest of the 2009 season - on Sunday.

"Now the championship is over so it is possible to think only about the race result," said Rossi. "Last year I arrived on the podium but it was quite a bad race for us. I started from behind [tenth] and was not able to get a good rhythm, so we must work hard."

Rossi finished over 12 seconds behind race winner Casey Stoner (Ducati) and nearly nine seconds behind runner-up Dani Pedrosa (Honda) at Valencia last year.
