Relive the Grand Prix glory days with Duke Video!

One of the greatest-ever eras of motorcycle racing can now be enjoyed on DVD for the very first time, as Duke Video has compiled a superb collection of action-packed footage, interviews with the stars and round-by-round coverage to deliver the most comprehensive reviews of a decade of Grand Prix competition.

Duke is delighted to be able to bring fans complete Official Reviews of every season from 1992 right through to 2001 on DVD. Not only will collectors be able to replace their old VHS tapes, but the arrival of these classic years on DVD will help to introduce the era to a whole new generation of fans.

Official Reviews of 1992 to 1996 have been released in February, with 1997 to 2001 set to follow suit on 8 March, completing a collection that covers an era of true motorcycling legends, from Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan through to Max Biaggi and Valentino Rossi. Duke also traces the development of the sport as the new identity of MotoGP emerges and the thundering 500cc machines are phased out.

Every Official Review delivers an edge-of-the-seat thrill ride through an entire season, featuring greats like Kevin Schwantz, Alex Criville, Loris Capirossi, Luca Cadalora and so many more. There are so many highlights to experience, not least the dominance of Doohan and the emergence of Rossi, including The Doctor's first world championship triumph in the premier class.

However, these DVDs aren't just about the record-breaking performances - they are about the stunning action seen round-after-round, such as the final outing of 1995 that witnessed a three-way, race-long battle which finished with the top three split by just 0.623 seconds!

All the highs are here, but so, too, are the lows. The moment in 1993 when one of the greatest ever - Rainey - had his career cut tragically short is remembered. The Official Review of that year includes an exclusive interview with the three-time world champion just weeks after his life-changing crash, and the 1994 review includes several contributions from Rainey as he starts a new life in racing.

Looking at the record books, and seeing the Doohan domination which followed the Rainey era, it would be easy to assume there was no competition in 500cc racing in the 1990s - but these dramatic season reviews prove that nothing could be further from the truth.

In 1996, Honda team-mates Doohan and Criville shared the podium on ten occasions in eleven races, finishing first and second an incredible eight times! The Australian maestro was pushed every step of the way by stars like Criville and Daryl Beattie, and that produced some genuine elbow-to-elbow action - all captured here to be relived once again.

The DVDs will be retailed at ?19.99 each, but Crash.net visitors can gain 10 per cent off at Duke Video by using the keyword "Crash" during the checkout process.
