Miller: The bike is incredible!
Jack Miller shrugged off any suggestion he would find stepping up from Moto3 to substantially faster MotoGP machinery daunting as he got the chance to harness the full potential of his CWM LCR Honda RC213V-RS during a run out at Sepang.
Granted additional test days on a MotoGP bike due to his rookie status, 2014 Moto3 runner-up Miller made his debut on the machine during the post-season test at Valencia, but was given the chance to ride the bike in Sepang before the winter testing ban coming into force.
With longer straights and sweeping bends, Miller says Sepang is substantially different to Valencia and though he only got 39 laps in over the course of the day, he was full of praise for the bike and delighted to get the chance to ride it to its full potential.
"We got a chance to learn another track on the new bike, and it is a completely different style here compared to Valencia. It was actually quite a difficult day because the bike was slipping and spinning up quite a lot with there not being many bikes out on track.
"By the end of the day, though, I started to really enjoy myself. I'm learning more and more how to adapt my style to the CWM LCR Honda, and how to set it up a bit better.
"The bike is still incredible, I'm really happy with the power it has and so to ride it here in Malaysia and be able to use its full potential is great. Tomorrow we will continue working on my riding style and we'll see where I get to in the end."
