Single IMU in MotoGP from 2019

From next season, the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) will no longer be exempt from the MotoGP unified ECU system.

It's a move MotoGP Director of Technology Corrado Cecchinelli has been pursuing ever since the single software arrived in 2016 in order to reduce costs, bring the performance of the machines closer and end the theoretical possibility of 'doping' the IMU to influence the ECU.
