Japanese MotoGP - Qualifying (1) Results

Crutchlow heads Qualifying 1 for the Japanese MotoGP, which saw riders running slicks on the damp track.

The top two now progress to the Q2 pole position shootout, where they will join the ten fastest riders after third practice. The others will start, in the following order, from 13th on the grid onwards…

Guintoli is making his latest Suzuki wild-card appearance, but was disqualified from the Friday results due to use of a 2020 engine spec.

Nakagami is taking part in his final event of the season before undergoing shoulder surgery. He will be replaced at the following 2019 rounds by Johann Zarco.

Rabat was absent after injuring his wrist this morning.
