Gino Rea strikes again in the wet to claim a second British Superbike win of the weekend, while championship leader Tarran Mackenzie retires with a mechanical problem.
With conditions taking a turn for the worst shortly before race three was scheduled to begin, a lengthy delay followed.
After 40 minutes went by, the final race of the weekend finally got underway with Tarran Mackenzie keeping the lead into turn one.
The same great start that Mackenzie enjoyed couldn’t be said of second placed Danny Buchan, as the BMW rider dropped to 15th.
Race winner in similar wet conditions yesterday, Gino Rea, led at the end of lap one before drama in the championship battle ensued.
Series leader Mackenzie slowed on the exit of the Foggy Esses after his McAMS Yamaha seemed to cut out.
Just as he did in the opening race of the weekend, Josh Brookes crashed between turns five and six.
Buchan then retired with what seemed like yet another mechanical or electronical issue.
Out front, Rea continued to lead from Christian Iddon and Lee Jackson who had over nine seconds advantage over Tommy Bridewell.
Rea and Iddon then began to pull clear of Jackson who momentarily got caught up behind lapped traffic.
While Iddon tried and at times did close the gap to Rea, a move for the lead never materialised as the Buildbase Suzuki man held on for his second race of the season.
