NASCAR: Busch claims ex-girlfriend is an assassin

NASCAR driver Kurt Busch says his ex-girlfriend is a trained assassin who is sent on international covert missions.

Busch was appearing in court regarding ex-partner Patricia Driscoll's request for a no-contact order, but claims she is attempting to destroy his career after he ended their relationship last year.

"Everybody on the outside can tell me I'm crazy, but I lived on the inside and saw it firsthand," Busch said when questioned why he still believed Driscoll is a hired killer, according to The Guardian.

Busch said Driscoll had repeatedly asserted that she was an assassin - claiming the work took her across Central and South America and Africa on missions - and had shown him pictures of bodies with gunshot wounds. Busch even recounted an occasion when Driscoll allegedly returned from a mission when they were in El Paso, Texas. He said Driscoll left in camouflage gear and later returned wearing a trench coat over an evening gown covered with blood.

However, while not refuting the claims during the hearing, Driscoll later dismissed them in an interview with the Associated Press after Busch's comments.

"These statements made about being a trained assassin, hired killer, are ludicrous and without basis and are an attempt to destroy my credibility," Driscoll said. "Not even Rusty Hardin [Busch's attorney] believes this.

"I find it interesting that some of the outlandish claims come straight from a fictional movie script I've been working on for eight years."

The four-day hearing related to Driscoll's request for a no-contact order. A separate criminal investigation is ongoing over claims from Driscoll that Busch assaulted her in his motorhome at Dover International Speedway a week after he ended their relationship.
