Mike Cofer collected his second win of the season in the NASCAR Late Model division at the Craftsman Tools Night at The Orleans NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday night.

Cofer, who started on the pole, dominated the 40-lap race. On restarts, he jumped to the front of the pack to capture the checked flag. Darren Michels finished second followed by Jerry Spilsbury and Scott Gafforini.

"You know there will always be some cautions, we knew there would be some at the end. I have gotten better at the restarts." Cofer said.

Mark Schottmuller was victorious in the NASCAR Outlaw Stocks division feature after several caution periods during the 30-lap race. Several cars had mechanical difficulties causing them to leave the racetrack. Schottmuller passed race leader Dick Attisani after he experienced engine failure on the final lap to take the chequered flag. Glenn Burke finished second while Attisani held on for third.

Don Sargent took the chequered flag in the NASCAR Charger division feature. After battling his way to the front with Travis Swalwell for the lead position, Sargent kept the lead to win the race. Swalwell finished second followed by Tom Youmans and Morris Sealy.

"We started out in the middle of the pack tonight. We were in the middle of nowhere and some holes finally opened up," Sargent said. "The car was better than I thought it was going to be. This is our second win this year."

In the Bandolero Cars division, Bear Rzesnowiecky picked up his second win of the season. Kevin Terrell finished second, followed by Josh Gross.

After collecting a win in the Thunder Roadster feature June 15, Stoney Grey held his momentum to post his third win of the season Saturday. David Green took second and Rick Rogas finished third.

Randy Brown swept the Mechanix Wear Speed Truck division after he led the entire 100-lap main event. Brown posted his sixth win at LVMS this year.

"It was not easy at all. Andrew Lewis was running really hard tonight," Brown said. "We have come here and tested every night before the race. It is a lot of years of hard work."
