Crew chief changes announced for #38 team.

Robert Yates Racing announced today that effective immediately Todd Parrott will assume crew chief duties for Elliott Sadler and the #38 M&M's Racing Team.

Raymond Fox III, who had served in the crew chief capacity since October of 2002, will continue to play an integral role on the #38 team.

"Todd [Parrott] is going to assume the position of crew chief," said Robert Yates, owner of the #38 and 88 teams. "The 38 team had some success in several races this year but we feel like we need to improve the performance so we can run up front on a more consistent basis.

"Todd's experience will take the #38 team to the next level. Raymond Fox has done a great job for us, and will continue to be an important part of this race team."

"I've been at home re-charging my batteries," said Parrott. "I am really excited to be back to work and am looking forward to working with Elliott Sadler. Elliott is a young, energetic and enthusiastic driver who has had an up and down season. They have qualified and raced well at times and I hope that I can help this young guy get into the winner's circle. With Raymond and I working side by side I think it won't be too hard to find victory lane."

"I think Todd Parrott's return will help us find the depth we were missing at this point in the season," said Sadler. "I said at the beginning of the year this team could win a championship and I still think that today. I'm really happy of the opportunities given to me at Robert Yates Racing."

Parrott, who had served in the team manager position since December 2001, will assume the position he worked in with the #88 team from 1996 to 2001. Parrott led the team to the 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship and has scored 24 wins as crew chief with the #88 team. Dave Smith will continue to work as the car chief under Parrott and Fox.
