Atlanta based firm Upsales, Inc. have announced the launch of an exclusive and unique scanner designed especially for NASCAR fans. This innovative product keeps loyal fans connected to the racing action while supporting their favourite drivers.

The ProScan 100 is the only NASCAR-licensed scanner with a built-in FM radio designed especially for the NASCAR enthusiast. The officially licensed scanner displays one of 12 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup team's graphics on the unit's faceplate and on a matching noise reduction headset. The dual-purpose scanner scans in the 450-470 MHz range used by NASCAR teams. The professional quality and 100-channel scanner is first-class in performance and value.

"The ProScan 100 is an exciting new licensed product for NASCAR fans and a great platform for our sponsors," said Mark Dyer, vice president of licensing at NASCAR. "Scanners let NASCAR fans get 'inside a driver's helmet' for an up-close-and personal perspective into each team's strategy and issues affecting the race. Away from the track, fans can use their scanner to follow their favourite drivers on MRN or PRN."

The easy-to-program ProScan 100 allows each fan to follow up to 99 frequencies. It is compact, lightweight and can operate all race weekend on two AA batteries (minimum of 24 hours). It is the only scanner that can easily be worn around a user's neck on a lanyard or the traditional way; on a belt.

Chris Foster, president of Upsales, Inc. and creator of the ProScan 100, said the ProScan 100 is the first-of-its-kind in the scanner industry. "In-car audio has consistently been a growing segment of the NASCAR spectator experience. Year after year more fans are tuning in to the on-track communications between the drivers and their spotters and crew chiefs. With the ProScan 100, race fans can now showcase their favourite driver and sponsors at track or in their homes."

Images of the ProScan 100 are available at http://www.proscanracing.com. The NASCAR racing scanner displays a chequered flag and an enlarged NASCAR logo. The 12 initial NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Driver Scanners each feature the number and unique design, colours and signature or name of a particular driver, including:

Rusty Wallace
Mark Martin
Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Ryan Newman
Michael Waltrip
Matt Kenseth
Bobby Labonte
Tony Stewart
Jeff Gordon
Kevin Harvick
Jimmie Johnson
Dale Jarrett

The ProScan 100 is the first scanner that has been built solely with the race fan in mind. It can be used at all racetracks from IRL to NHRA to short tracks. Plus the FM receiver and driver licensed ear muffs can be used away from the track for other activities.
