David Stremme, the driver who will replace Sterling Marlin behind the wheel of Chip Ganassi's #40 Dodge in 2006 will make his Nextel Cup Series debut in this Sunday's USG Sheetrock 400 at the Chicagoland Speedway.
The 28 year-old driver will attempt to qualify a fourth Ganassi Dodge at the 1.5-mile tri-oval with sponsorship from his current Busch Series backers 'The United States Navy.'

Stremme will use the #39 plate last seen on the hood of Scott Pruett's entry at Sears Point and will have to qualify for the race on speed as the #39 team is not among the top 35 in owner points.
