Vickers' car fails inspection.

Brian Vickers and the #25 Hendrick Motorsports team found themselves in hot water at the New Hampshire International Speedway on Friday after their primary car failed to make it through NASCAR's technical inspection.

NASCAR officials tried five times to see if the car's body conformed to the rigid aerodynamic templates that the series imposes but could not get all the templates to fit to their satisfaction.

NASCAR officials tried five times to see if the car's body conformed to the rigid aerodynamic templates that the series imposes but could not get all the templates to fit to their satisfaction.

As a result, NASCAR impounded the car and made the team get the back-up machine out for final practice, where Vickers turned just five laps as a preparation for his Bud Pole qualifying run on Saturday and the Sylvania 300 itself on Sunday.
