"It's hard to contain our excitement after finalising a deal with the good folks at MB2 Motorsports to have our very own Nextel Cup car competing in Las Vegas, " said Myles Freeman, co-owner and vice president of sales for Wiley X Eyewear. "And, we couldn't have a better role model than Sterling Marlin to drive the #14 Wiley X car. This race is dedicated to all of our retail customers who have helped us achieve such a lofty goal in our quest to further raise brand awareness."

Marlin, the 2002 winner at Las Vegas, feels his new team is ready for a breakthrough race in the Wiley X Chevy.

"We had a good test in Las Vegas (in January) and I think we're ready to jump out and run up front," said Marlin. "We're banking on a red-hot performance to go along with our cool-looking car and our cool-looking Wiley X shades."

Wiley X is not a stranger to motorsports. The company is in its second season as an associate sponsor on the MB2-owned U.S. Army Chevrolet driven by Joe Nemechek. Wiley X has also established an official status with the International Race of Champions (IROC) circuit.

"Wiley X has been a great partner and we appreciate them stepping up for this opportunity," said Jay Frye, MB2's CEO and general manager. "It's always exciting when we are able to provide a company with its first experience as a primary sponsor."
