Destiny's Child singer to perform at Indy.

Kelly Rowland, a member of super-group Destiny's Child, will sing the national anthem before the start of the 13th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard on Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Rowland, a native of Atlanta, burst into stardom in the late 1990s with Destiny's Child, one of the top-selling female musical groups in history.

Rowland, a native of Atlanta, burst into stardom in the late 1990s with Destiny's Child, one of the top-selling female musical groups in history.

Besides her musical career, Rowland has branched out into acting. She starred in the blockbuster film, "Freddie Vs. Jason" in 2003 and was featured in the comedy "The Seat Filler" in 2004. She also recently appeared in three episodes of the popular UPN TV series, "Girlfriends."

Rowland also works tirelessly in philanthropic efforts. She co-founded The Survivor Foundation, which benefits Hurricane Katrina and Rita victims and has served as a spokesperson for Ronald McDonald House/World Children's Day.

She also performed at the esteemed Snowflake Event for UNICEF and participated in the Aldo/YouthAIDS print campaign to raise awareness and funds for AIDS prevention and research. Rowland also is the spokesperson for YouthAIDS' five-year worldwide 8 Wonders campaign.
