Borland out as Jarrett's crew chief.
Crew chief Matt Borland has left Michael Waltrip Racing after just nine races at the helm of Dale Jarrett's #44 UPS Toyota team.
Borland, who enjoyed several successful seasons with Ryan Newman and the #12 Penske Racing team, couldn't help Jarrett or the ailing MWR stable and with the former Nextel Cup Champion now out of Past Champions provisionals and outside the top 35 in team points, simply qualifying for the races is going to be a struggle.

Team boss Michael Waltrip, who has only qualified for one of nine races so far this season himself, has moved to hire Jason Burdett from Robert Yates Racing as Jarrett's new crew chief starting this weekend at Richmond.
In nine races so far this year Jarrett has used all six of his provisional starting positions and has a best finish of 22nd, achieved in the Daytona 500.
