Snow forces 'Cracker' back to next Sunday.

Sean Wilson will stage his 20-year benefit meeting next Sunday, March 19 - after heavy snow forced the postponement of the event this weekend.

Officials were optimistic during the early part of Sunday morning that the Owlerton Stadium would miss the worst of the bad weather sweeping the North of the country, but the decision to call the meeting off was eventually taken at around 11.30am.

Grand Prix stars Jason Crump and Scott Nicholls have already confirmed their availability for the re-staging, where it is hoped that the line-up will be largely unchanged.

It means Sheffield Speedway now launch their season at King's Lynn on Wednesday in the first leg of the Yorkshire Cup, with the return against the Stars at Owlerton 24 hours later.
