Following a successful introduction to sponsorship of the Series last year, Speedy Hire Plc, the leading provider of tool and equipment hire services in the UK, will be an Elite sponsor of all ten Grands Prix in 2006.
John Postlethwaite, Chief Executive, BSI, rights holders of the FIM SGP Series comments: "This is great news for the SGP Series. Speedy has recognised the strengths of the Series and how they match their own company principles. Through the excellent coverage of the world championship generated on UK television, the sponsorship also creates brand awareness of the Speedy brand in their core target market. We are very much looking forward to working with them once again in 2006."
David Graham, Speedy Hire's Group Sales and Marketing Director, said: "We're proud to renew our involvement with the FIM Speedway Grand Prix Series, as the sport continues to go from strength to strength. This year's series promises to be just as gripping and spectacular as the last and will allow us to reach an even bigger audience for Speedy as more people are converted to the sport through its exposure on Sky Sports and its showpiece British event at the Millennium Stadium.
"We're planning a number of initiatives across the UK in the run up to the FIM British Speedway Grand Prix, helping to draw attention to the sport and getting as many people as possible involved."
