Britek reveals bold new look.

The event was also an official homecoming for Bright, who finally gets to drive for the team he founded three years ago.

"Launching today has me excited, both from a team owner point of view and also as a driver," the erstwhile FPR pilot admitted, "As a team owner, I'm very excited to continue the relationship with the likes of Fujitsu and Ford, while we are also delighted to welcome Irwin to the V8 game, and to bring on a fresh talent in Alan Gurr.

"We have worked very hard over the last two years, to the point where we can legitimately move forward in V8 Supercars. The challenge is by no means over, but we do expect some strong performances throughout the year. Winning races, rounds or the championship are not part of those goals but, in a series that has 32 cars competing at every event, finishing in the top half of the field is not out of the question."

For Gurr, the opportunity to race for a new team and sponsor is a highlight in a career that has yet to yield a front-running opportunity.

"I have not even driven the car yet and I feel like I've ticked so many boxes," the youngster said, "The car looks great and I trust I can do it justice throughout 2007. I really want to embrace this opportunity and do the best for the team.

"The opening test is very important, as I get to work with the team for the first time, and working with Jason is going to a big bonus for me. You don't have success in this sport handed to you - you have to go out and earn it. Jason is certainly a case in point."

Both Britek Falcon BFs sport familiar blue-and-red liveries, but the shade of blue subtly different to reflect the branding of Fujitsu and Irwin.
