Winslow tests with champions 888
Just days after his impressive V8 Supercar debut in the Fujitsu Series finale at Homebush Park in Sydney, James Winslow was handed the opportunity to drive with senior series champions Triple 8 at Eastern Creek.
The Briton, who finished ninth in his first race in the category and was headed for a top six result when sidelined by mechanical gremlins in the second, joined TeamVodafone at one of the series' test and ride days, running alongside double champion Jamie Whincup in the distinctive 888 Fords.
With Stone Brothers, Supercheap Auto Racing and Britek joining TeamVodafone on track, Winslow and Marcus Marshall both enjoyed track time alongside Whincup, with the Briton switching to Ford power - and acquitting himeslf well - after shining as the fastest Holden driver in the Fujitsu finale.
"It was great to get this opportunity to drive the Triple 8 TeamVodaphone machine and have the chance to drive the championship-winning car," Winslow, who bases himself in Sydeny, commented, "You don't get much better than these guys, and I must thank the team for the great opportunity."
