PICTURES: Bertelli and Camilli crashes
M-Sport's Eric Camilli and Ford privateer Lorenzo Bertelli both crashed out of Rally Finland on Saturday morning during the first loop.
Bertelli was the first to go out when he left the road around 10 kilometres into the legendary 33km Ouninpohja 1 test, the first test of the day.
The Italian and co-driver Simone Scattolin both escaped unharmed, although the latter was knocked unconscious in the accident and was later taken to hospital for some checks.
"We crashed into a ditch and now we're going to the hospital for some medical checks to Simone," Bertelli confirmed on Twitter, later adding that his co-driver should be discharged within the next couple of hours.
Meanwhile, following the stoppage in SS13, SS14 was also stopped after Eric Camilli binned his Fiesta RS WRC 2.1kms in.
M-Sport later tweeted that Camilli and co-driver Benjamin Veillas had both been in contact and were okay. Camilli had been ninth overall.
