Provisonal 2004 calendar announced.

The FIM have today released the provisional calendar for the 2004 World Superbike Championship.

The main changes are a 'to be announced' new round between the Valencia season opener and Phillip Island, while Misano moves from its current late June date to mid April.

Misano has been moved to make way for a second 'to be announced' round between Silverstone and Laguna Seca.

Misano has been moved to make way for a second 'to be announced' round between Silverstone and Laguna Seca.

The final four rounds - Brands Hatch, Assen, Imola and Magny-Cours - remain unchanged, although the French series finale will be some 16 days earlier than this year as the series moves to close some of the present gaps between events.

Malaysia's Sepang circuit is thought to be one of the 'tba' rounds, with a more exotic setting - perhaps China or the Middle East - a 'possible' for the second.
