AMA: Injured Hodgson to miss Fontana.
Ex-pat Briton Neil Hodgson will miss the upcoming Auto Club Speedway AMA Superbike event after a training accident left him hospitalised over the weekend.
The Corona Extra Honda Racing was keeping himself sharp with a regular outing on his motocross bike, when he hit a fallen rider's machine and went down hard. He was transferred to hospital after reporting difficulty breathing, which subsequent examinations later found to be caused by a collapsed lung.

The former British and World Superbike champion also injured ribs and dislocated his shoulder in the accident and is being kept in Loma Linda Hospital for observation.
Former Corona Extra Honda rider, and 2008 Auto Club Speedway Superstock winner, Jake Holden will take over Hodgson's Honda CBR1000RR Superbike for the Fontana event, despite having endured a messy court case provoked when he found that his expected 2009 ride was going the Briton's way.
