Having enjoyed a Superstock 1000 outing last year, this will be 22-year-old Cavalieri’s WorldSBK debut. He is the second CIV Superbike rider to confirm a wild-card after Michele Pirro was announced as joining Barni Racing for the weekend.
“I’m really pleased to have this amazing possibility to debut as a wildcard in WorldSBK at Misano. It will definitely be an important step in my career as a rider and I intend to do my very best.
“It will be important to work well with my team, quickly identifying a good work method and understanding the bike, which is very different from what I use in the CIV.
“It won’t be easy, but I know I can count on the support of a great team. I can’t wait to get out on track and see the Superbike champions up close, I have a lot to learn from them.
