Scott Redding dominates race two in Aragon to clinch his first WorldSBK race win of 2021.

After getting the tyre choice wrong in the Superpole race, Redding flipped the script for race two and took a chance on slick tyres when everyone else was on Intermediates.

Jonathan Rea came into the race looking for a third consecutive win to begin the year. However, early contact with Garrett Gerloff saw the American crash at turn 14 - relegating the six-time champion to fifth.

Rea regrouped to eventually claim second but was no match to the pace set by Redding out front. Team-mate Alex Lowes was third and secured a clean sweep of podiums.

The podium fight was a five-way battle early on between Rea, Lowes, Tom Sykes, Michael Van Der Mark and Toprak Razgatlioglu.

But as the final laps approached, the gaps increased with Sykes taking fourth ahead of Van Der Mark who claimed a second fifth place for the day.

Chaz Davies was the first rider to crash as he went down on lap one at turn seven. Gerloff and Davies both remounted to finish 19th and eighth respectively, while Leon Haslam also took a fall but did not finish.
