Hannes Soomer and Vertti Takala look ahead to WorldSSP season with Kallio Racing
The 2021 WorldSSP season will be Estonian rider Hannes Soomer's fourth in the series which have all come with Kallio Racing.
The 23 year-old claimed his first podiums in the Supersport class last season on his way to a career best ninth place finish in the championship.
Soomer has been with the team since the conclusion of the 2017 season where he won the European Supersport title. Soomer will once again been riding a Yamaha YZF R6 in 2021.
Speaking ahead of the new season, Soomer said: "I am happy to continue for another year with Kallio Racing. We can take the experience of last year and use it to fight for more podiums, wins and a top place in the championship this year.
"Working with people I know well and value, makes me very excited and confident for the new season. It is a strange time in the world right now, but I am staying healthy, fit and ready to start racing when the season starts."
Soomer is the most experienced rider in the team, as his new team-mate Vertti Takala will be making his debut in the World Supersport series.
The Finish rider is three years older than his more experienced team-mate. However, there is already familiarity with the team, as Takala was part of the Kallio Racing setup last season in the Spanish National Championship.
Ahead of his rookie campaign, Takala added: "I am excited about next season! The WorldSSP class is a very high level and next season is going to be a learning one for me.
"However, I think that we have a chance to achieve good results. The team is very professional, and the bikes are top notch, so things won’t get caught up in that. It's great to be able to ride on new tracks and work with the team."
