Soheil Ayari endured a difficult debut at Spa, and it the same story when team-mate Eric Helary took over at Oschersleben, with both Frenchmen struggling for pace against the more established entries from Alfa Romeo, BMW and SEAT. In qualifying at Oschersleben, Helary could only qualify 26th, ahead of just the RS-Line Ford Focus of Sascha Ploderl. Hopes that the car could be improved for the two races the following day were similarly dashed.
Peugeot Sport Denmark and Peugeot Sport will now work together to further develop the car ahead of the 2006 season.
